Week 1 of senior year: SUCCESS.

Alright, this past monday was my very first day of my senior year in high school. I recently cut my hair short, bought some new clothes and I was set.
My schedule is as follows:
AP Psych
Geometry
Government/Economy
Literature 4
I get out every day at 12:20, and its absolutely perfect. I wouldn't rather have anything else. I have great friends at school and I am absolutely stoked for the rest of my senior year. It will go by in a blur, so I'm going to try to record most of it on here. But then again, I always say that and I always forget. So we'll see :)

It's fairtime!

I love working at the fair. Yesterday was the first day that it was open and I had a blast! I worked in the Kid's Craft area. There was a nine year old there who had a mom who worked there, so she spent all day at the tables doing crafts with me. I even taught her how to braid. Can you imagine? a nine year old girl who was never taught how to braid! I sat her down on a haybale and taught her how to braid a bracelet.
This afternoon I'm going as a guest to the Fair! I am completely stoked, because I haven't seen it all since its been put together, so I think it will be fantastic.
Especially the fair-food. Its my favorite.

I feel my temperature rising

Summer has arrived! So far I'm going to have to say this has been the busiest and most fun so far. I have been out of school for two weeks and three days and I have already succeeded in doing the following things:
1. I went to Six Flags twice in two days.
2. Attended a 50th birthday bash for my mom.
3. Had the flu.
4. Hung out with a pretty cool guy more times in the last month than I ever have before.
5. Began working at the Solano County Fair.
6. Got my license.
7. Been shopping so many times I don't have enough room for my clothes.

So far, the summer of 2009 has been fantastic, and its not even 1/2 over yet! This upcoming friday I am flying down to San Diego to meet up with my parents and go to Disneyland. It'll be a cute family vacation, minus my sister. I'm also excited because my friend from school is supposed to be there at the same time, so I'll be able to hang out and go on rides with her.
I'll get home July 1st, and then just four days later on June 5th I'll be leaving for 4H Camp to be a Junior Counselor. I don't know any of the people who I'll be a councelor with, so please pray that I'll make friends on the four hour long bus trip up.
Thats all for now! I'll continue to keep you updated on my many adventures to come.

well, I haven't written in a couple weeks. Very little has changed. Our family got a new dog, but after about a week and a half of Happy eating my underwear, socks, and cat poop, we had to give her back. My paretns don't have the time to train her. But, I have a piture of her that I took the day before she left us. enjoy! I know I did. :)

Seussical the Musical

Thursday night was opening night of Seussical the Musical, the play I was in this semester at the local community college. I had so much fun doing it, but I'm sad its over now. I made great friends in this show, and became even closer to other already good friends. Our cast became a family, and for the most part, everyone loved each other.
I played the Grinch, and it was seriously one of the funnest parts that I have ever done in a show. The costumers made me the craziest eyebrows I have ever seen, and I laughed every time I looked in the mirror.
What really makes me sad though, is that Seussical was my last show with Solano Youth Theatre. My parents are insisting that I "focus on growing up and getting a job" this semester. All good things must come to an end eventually, I suppose.

old photos

Recently, I found an old photo album from when my parents began dating in the early 80's. The pictures are absolutely adorable, so naturally, I had to share some of my favorates with you guys :) I love this picture because my dad never grins. If you know my dad, I highly doubt you've ever really seen his teeth. Am I right? He looks so happy here.

My mom, looking like a gorgeous model at Fisherman's Warf in SF.

The fateful day when my dad brought my mom home to meet his parents. After she left, my grandpa told my dad that she "is a keeper." High praise coming from my grandpa, who was a man of very few words.

My mom right after my dad proposed. He gave her a yellow rose corsage.
(as well as a ring, of course.)

My dad calling his buddy to tell him about his engagement. aw.
(I like the button truck behind him)
So, these are the greatest pictures I've seen in awhile. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
:)

hello :)

well, this is my first blog here. I spent the weekend and a good majority of this week with good friends, and they introduced me to blogspot.com. And I'm warning you, that my attempts here may just be quite pathetic.
But its always fun to try, right?
